Strategic Plan Timeline

Date Activities

December 2009

  • Convene Strategic Plan Steering Committee to: 1) support the development and management of a community-based strategic plan, and 2) to synthesize input and incorporate into Strategic Plan Working Draft for Board approval

February 2010

  • Conduct small group meetings with parents, students, community organizations, businesses, employees, faith-based organizations, higher education, Altadena residents, Sierra Madre residents and school site administrators
  • Hold four Community Forums throughout PUSD communities

March — April 2010

  • Collaborate with Steering Committee to develop strategic plan recommendations based on community input
  • Deliver Steering Committee report and summary of community input to the public
  • Present Steering Committee Strategic plan Recommendations to Board of Education

April — September 2010

  • Develop implementation plan, goals and evaluation system in conjunction with Strategic Plan Steering Committee members
  • Provide quarterly updates on progress of strategic plan implementation to the community
